The Hungaroring was first built in the mid 1980′s, purposely for the Formula 1. The circuit is situated just outside of Budapest, and was built in 8 months which is really quick for a full sized race track.
Unusually the opinions of viewers of the circuit are very different. Watching the circuit on the television is often classed as a low point in the F1 season, however fans who have visited the track always say it’s fantastic. Great views (being able to see 50% or so of the track from any one place is brilliant for a modern day track) and the party atmosphere mean that fans keep going back. Today’s circuit is essentially the same as the original, apart from some resurfacing around the track.
Facilities are good, our highlight is the water park on track, nothing beats it after a hard day watching the racing!
