But this is one of the things which makes it so exciting to watch. Targa Florio
This open road race course is situated in the mountains of Sicily near Palermo. The 45 mile course takes racers through traverse mountain roads and tests the competitors driving skills in switchback hairpins through both gravel and mud. In fact, in 1974 it was declared as too dangerous to be run as part of the WRC.

Spa-Francorchamps
This famous Belgium track situated in Francorchamps, Spa is one of the most loved in all of motorsports. However it is also one the of world’s most deadly and tricky tracks to drive. The track was originally constructed in 1924 but today it bears little resemblance to its previous layouts. More than 20 drivers have lost their lives on this track. The track is known for the Eau Rouge left corner, which is shortly followed by a right-hander that leads steeply uphill. It is dangerous and it requires excellent control and skill.

The Paris-Dakar Rally
This off-road race, which is organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation, runs from Paris to Dakar. The Dakar Rally sends drivers over some of the roughest terrain on the planet. Due to safety concerns the race was moved to South America.
