The Circuito de Cartagena is a permanent racetrack which is located near Cartagena, Spain. Opening in the early 1990′s, the track has remained the same since then; however it has recently undergone refurbishment. Because of the location in a warm area of Spain; it receives a lot of sun each year, which almost guarantees a dry track. It’s used mainly for track days, being extremely popular for motorcycles. Looking at the track, it’s a 3.5KM layout which runs in a clockwise direction.

It’s a reasonably fast layout which has several fast long sweeping corners. Run off areas are also present around the whole track, making it one of the safer European tracks. Facilities at the track are now excellent, with thirty pit boxes, full floodlighting through out the track, restaurant and even an on site hospital.
