Killarney Motor Racing Complex is a permanent motorsport facility in Cape Town, South Africa. Opening in the late 1940′s, the venue started with one circuit, and today has grown in size to now contain several different tarmac tracks, a motocross track, drag strip (Using the main straight) and a Kart track In 1959 the track was upgraded and rebuilt to conform to the required FIA standard to host Formula 1, with a non championship race taking place in 1960. Looking at the track today, the shape is roughly a “U”, with a few extra corners. It’s still quite a short track at 2 Miles, with just 6 main corners.
