Rockingham Motor Speedway in Northamptonshire, is one of Britain’s newest circuits, and the fastest circuit in Europe. Opened in 2001, it had been designed for the expansion of Nascar and Indycar to Europe, with the main interest on the oval. They also had an infield section, which as it has turned out has been used far more than the oval circuit, as the American sports never really entered Europe. No changes have been made to the circuit layout since its creation in 2001, and it is now used for BTCC, F3, BSB and various other smaller events.
They have a huge number of different layouts available depending on the type of vehicle using the track, although the most common is the National layout, shown in black on the Rockingham Motor Speedway track map below.
