First used as a race track back in 1951 by the Aston martin owners club, it has been a permanent track ever since. Snetterton has been rejuvenated in recent years after being taken over by the Motorsport Vision group in 2005, leading to an extended track and new facilities to bring it back to the forefront of UK Motorsport. Renowned for the high speed nature of the circuit, it hosts rounds of the BTCC as well as the British Superbike championship.
2011 is a landmark year for Snetterton, as the track celebrates both its 60th anniversary and the completion of a multi million pound redevelopment plan, increasing the track length and improving the facilities.
